Intimate, Relaxed, Flexible
The 4th Street Theatre is a smaller, 400-seat, versatile performance space located on the east side of the historic Capitol Theatre. The 4th Street can accommodate events ranging from private parties to speakers, concerts, and full-stage productions.
*Please note; The Capitol Theatre Committee does not allow political campaign promotion or material by persons using the Capitol Theatre or 4th Street Theatre under a contract.
More than a performing arts venue, the 4th Street Theatre also showcases a variety of other art forms created by local talent. As you enter the space you will discover snippets of poetry, the grand chandelier, etched mirrors, and a neon sign illuminating your way to this year’s Art on the Wall exhibit.
The Art on the Wall series has been part of a multi-cultural exploration into the nature of creativity and understanding of the world in us and around us. The decade-long series included the Classical Greek elements (earth, air, fire and water) and additional Chinese elements (stone, metal and wood), followed by light and carnival. 2020 – the last in the series – explores music.
