Las Vegas headliner, comedian, actor, writer, and cultural provocateur Jade Esteban Estrada, aka “The Prada Enchilada,” takes audiences on a hilarious, moving, and unexpected odyssey through a life lived boldly, creatively, and without apology.

Part stand-up comedy, part theatre, and part cabaret, Jade in America is an immersive one-man experience that blurs the line between comedian and character, joke and story, laughter and reflection. At the microphone, Jade delivers the sharp observational comedy audiences have come to expect. Then the microphone disappears, the lights shift, and the audience is taken inside the stories behind the jokes through powerful theatrical monologues. Along the way, Jade sings, dances, transforms through costumes, and brings an entire world to life onstage.

For decades, Estrada has been an important and pioneering voice in LGBTQIA+ and Latine culture. Through his groundbreaking theatrical works ICONS: The Lesbian & Gay History of the World, Volumes 1–5, Tortilla Heaven, and A Sign from the Taco Gods, he has used comedy, theater, music, and storytelling to celebrate communities, preserve history, challenge stereotypes, and bring LGBTQIA+ and Latine stories to audiences around the world.

That same spirit fuels Jade in America.

Having toured extensively throughout the United States and internationally, Estrada brings the keen eye of a journalist to his comedy, observing the people, politics, culture, contradictions, and absurdities of the world around him. His unique perspective has been shaped by decades onstage, a lifetime of travel, and an extraordinary career spent watching society change from the inside out.

The result is an odyssey that is deeply personal but never confined to one person's story. Jade moves effortlessly between the intimate and the outrageous, the historical and the contemporary, the hilarious and the heartbreaking. He explores identity, freedom, memory, culture, community, belonging, and the strange experience of trying to make sense of it all.
