Founded in 1975, Actors From The London Stage (AFTLS) is one of the oldest touring Shakespeare theatre companies in the world. Housed and workshopped in the UK and based in the United States at Shakespeare at Notre Dame, this intensive residency program is truly one of a kind. Confronting the role of the monarch in the balance between authority and chaos, King Lear reveals the beauty of selfless love, the heartache of betrayal, and the descent of civilization into brutishness when selfish greed has run amuck. Shakespeare’s powerful examination of madness, politics, and filial love is as resonant and important as ever.

 

This performance is general admission seating and will have school groups attending. We welcome individuals and families to attend. Individuals & Families will be seated in an assigned section to manage the overall speed and efficiency of preparing for the performance. Seating will be designated upon arrival. Our Theatre has a total of 8 wheelchair spaces and will need to know in advance if any are required for your group.
